Hi all, I’m Alekhya, very happy to meet you all as a guest DT for Connect4sale. For my next project, I’m going to show you all how to create Resin Coasters in easy step with the wide range of materials available at Connect4sae.com.Websife.  Sure all of you are aware that resin is a very joyful process and fun working medium.  We will learn how to make coasters using resin through 3 different methods. So, let’s start the picture tutorial. I have chosen resin and the Mould from the store.

As shown, we have to mix the resin very well with both the liquids into a plastic container and we have to get a crystal-clear resin. Points to be remembered while working with Resin:
1.Always read the given instructions before working with resin.
2.Always wear hand gloves, mask and cover your worktable with plastic sheets/newspaper to avoid any damage while with resin.
3.Mix the resin with the proper mixing ratio to avoid stickiness and air bubbles.
4.Always cover your resin works with some cardboard to prevent the resin from dust particles and also its better to do the works in a ventilated room.

Now for the first mould I’m going to use the pigments and some gold flakes. It depends on your own preference coaster should look like.

If you want to mix different set of colors, then divide the resin liquid into small cups and then add your choice of colours.

Slowly pour the resin liquid into the Mould and leave it to dry completely for 24hrs and cover the base with any piece of cardboard to avoid any dust partciles.
I have done 2 more techniques with the same resin i.e with alcohol inks and mica powders as shown below.

Simple Resin coasters are ready to use after 24hrs and you can use them as your wish, and they can be a wonderful gift option as well.

Hope you like the tutorial. Do share your creations with us. And don’t forget to check out the wide range of products available for all sort of mandala, resin, decoupage mediums etc in the connect4sale.com website.
Thanks to Connect4sale for this wonderful and amazing opportunity to share my work with you all.

About the Artist:
My name is Alekhya an IT Professional an art enthusiast from Vizag. I’m very passionate and creative         about art. Right from childhood I have been into art and have created amazing drawings. Once into college   and studies, my hobby/passion took a back seat. Thereafter, it’s the covid time where I have got a second   chance to re-live my passion and started working with mandalas as a time pass. But gradually I have built   up an interest and been serious about my mandalas and continuing till now. I have always wanted to try   something different with mandalas, so slowly I have experimented with many creative works and that’s   when I have been doing illustration mandalas, series mandalas etc. I keep working with my mandala with   different mediums such as watercolors, gouache, acrylics, brush pens and resin too. I believe there’s   nothing more special than re-living your passion and to have belief in yourself. I also love to share my     knowledge with all other art enthusiasts conducting workshops.
