Hello All

Hope our are having an amazing week.
I am back on Connect4Sale blog with an interesting mixed media scrapbook layout in Valentine’s theme using Blooms and Berries Paperpack from Papericious

So I chose these beautiful blooms print and fussy cut them.

Now using Mudra Background stamp. I stamped randomly to form my base layer.

Using Mudra Vintage stencil added some texture paste to have an embossed effect.

I took another printed paper and tore it to have serrated edges. Distressed the edges using archival ink. I added this paper onto the base using foam tape.

Finally embellished the entire thing using fussy cuts, some paper cut images from element sheets and cute valentines theme Mdf  from Connect4sale along with  glitter.

Added our photo as focal element.

I hope you enjoyed looking into this project.

Here are some close-ups from the finished layout

Little about my project:
Hello ctafty peeps it’s me Semonti again on connect4sale blog. Today I am going to share my last guest design post. For that I altered a metal bucket which I got from the store. I have also got some other beautiful stuff in my kit. Flowers, Blue Spray Color, Red Chroma Burst Pigment Powder, red micro beads, some mdf leaves cutouts and very varsetile awesome Immix Glue Art Medium Matte. Used the rest of the supplies from my stash.
Thank you once again to Deepa ma’am and entire Connect4Sale team for sending me these wonderful stuff and getting me spoiled.

Now jump into my project. First sanded lightly my base then applied Grey Chalk paint all over my base. Applied texture paste through Mandala stencil in front of my base. Also used star stencil and snow paste on my base for more texture. Sprayed the blue colour on mandala design to get the desired look. Applied some blue metallic paint for giving shiny look to it. I made a clay mould for my focal point. Coloured it with same blue spray and metallic paint. Added a piece of gauze and some sisal fibre in front of my base.

Added one painted MDF leaf cut out on it. Then added my fairy face mould on the leaf. Cut butterfly wings into two parts and added the wings on both side of my fairy. I have coloured two pink roses with Red Chroma Burst Pigment Powder to turn them into red. Added some other flowers, pollens, leaf die cuts, red, gold and blue micro beads, glitters and stamped and fussy cut leaves to embellish my project.

Also added some stars made out of clay for more 3D look onto my project. Applied some blue and gold wax on fairy, stars and on my base for shinier look. For more wintery look and feel I added some snow paste here and there on my project. Added some white and red splatter to complete my project.

Hope you like my project. Thank you for your time and happy crafting.

Hi there everyone,

We have here a pictorial tutorial of creating this beautiful mixed media bucket. This decor piece can be used both indoor or outdoor as a showpiece with either original planter or artificial flowers. Without any further delay let’s start.

  1. I wanted to give the project a vintage look. I started pasting few embellishments which I made using moulds on the Galvanized Metal Bucket with a rustic wooden handle.
  2. Next I coloured the entire base with black gesso.
  3. Once dry I highlighted the embellishments with white gesso.
  4. Next I used metallic paints to highlight my motifs. I have used Bronze Moon and Pearly Peacock from Immix.
  5. Lastly I used some bronze wax to give my project a rustic look.
  6. Voila my rustic vintage tub which I’ll be using as a planter to don my entrance is ready.

Mixed Media On Aluminium Kettle by Manasa Priya Yedla

Hey there, Manasa here and I am on Connect4Sale blog today with an altered decor project. So, this was an Aluminium kettle that I got from Connect4sale in the size approximately 5″ for a very great deal.

Aluminium Kettle

So I thought of decoupaging initially, but the moment I saw this treasure. It stroll a vintage string in me. So I thought maybe, I will makeover into a copper finish.

I gessoed the entire surface in black using the Black Gesso from Expressions Craft. Then I added some chippies and metal embellishments and flowers randomly from Papericious and Expressions Craft which are available with Comnect4Sale.

Now in order to bring them into a single tone of colors, I gessoed in black over everything. This helps us to get the base of the vintage look. Make sure no corners are left off. The final step is to highlight everywhere with a metallic paint which brings in the shine and for the light to hit to give it a copper finish.

That’s about this very simple alter, yet very vintage looking kettle. I hope you enjoyed looking into it. Please let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
Until next time…
